Part 1
On weekends, I usually relax at home or go out for a coffee with friends. I prefer going out rather than staying home, because meeting people and exploring new places helps me feel refreshed after a busy week. I usually spend my weekends with my close friends or my family, and last weekend we went to a new café together. Overall, weekends are important for me to recharge before starting a new week.
I consider myself a fairly happy person most of the time, although I have stressful days like everyone else. What makes me feel happy in daily life is spending time with my family, achieving small goals at work, and having enough sleep. I think money can bring happiness to some extent, since it helps cover basic needs and reduces stress, but it is not the only source of happiness. In my opinion, good relationships and personal health matter just as much as financial stability.
Part 2
I think a conical hat would be the best gift to bring for the student exchange program. First, it is light and easy to carry in my luggage, unlike an ao dai which can be bulky and needs careful folding. Second, a conical hat is a simple but iconic symbol of Vietnam that people from other countries can immediately recognize and use as a decoration. In comparison, a lotus flower is beautiful and meaningful, but it is fresh and cannot survive a long trip abroad. An ao dai is elegant and represents Vietnamese culture well, but it can be expensive and difficult to fit if the recipient's size is unknown. Therefore, I would choose a conical hat because it is practical, affordable, and easy for anyone to appreciate.
Part 3
There are several effective ways to protect the environment. First, reducing plastic waste is very important, since people can bring reusable bags when shopping and avoid single-use plastic bottles, which helps to lower pollution in rivers and oceans. Second, saving energy at home makes a real difference, for example by turning off lights and electrical devices when they are not in use, which reduces both electricity bills and carbon emissions. Third, planting more trees is essential because trees absorb carbon dioxide, provide oxygen, and help prevent soil erosion, especially in urban areas that lack green spaces. In my city, common environmental problems include air pollution from traffic and littering in public areas, which affect both health and the appearance of the city. I think the government should protect the environment by enforcing stricter laws on factory emissions, improving waste management systems, and organizing public awareness campaigns. I also believe individuals can make a real difference, because small actions like recycling or joining community clean-up days can inspire others and gradually create a bigger positive impact.
