I know most of my neighbors fairly well, since I have lived in the same house for many years. In my opinion, a good neighbor is someone who is friendly, respects other people's privacy, and is willing to help when needed. Last year, one of my neighbors helped me carry heavy furniture into my apartment when I was moving in, and I really appreciated it. Since then, we have become closer and often check on each other during holidays.

My favorite public holiday is Tet, the Lunar New Year, because it is a time when the whole family gathers together. During public holidays, I usually travel back to my hometown to visit my grandparents and relatives. I think public holidays are very important for people because they give everyone a break from work or school and a chance to reconnect with family. Without these holidays, I think many people would feel more stressed and disconnected from their loved ones.

I think an ao dai would be the best gift to bring for the student exchange program. First, it is one of the most recognizable symbols of Vietnamese culture, so it clearly represents where I come from. Second, a well-made ao dai can be used or displayed for a long time, unlike a lotus flower which will wilt within a few days. In comparison, a conical hat is light and easy to carry, but it may seem too simple as a gift for a special occasion. A lotus flower is beautiful and meaningful, but being fresh, it cannot survive a long international trip. Therefore, I would choose an ao dai because it is elegant, meaningful, and something the recipient can keep for years.

Learning a new language brings several important benefits. First, it opens up more career opportunities, since many companies value employees who can communicate with international clients or partners. Second, it helps people understand other cultures more deeply, because language often carries traditions, humor, and ways of thinking that are hard to learn otherwise. Third, learning a new language has cognitive benefits, as studies suggest it can improve memory and problem-solving skills by keeping the brain active. I do think age can affect language learning, since children often pick up pronunciation more easily, but adults can still learn effectively with consistent practice and motivation. In my opinion, language learning should be compulsory in schools because it prepares students for a more connected, global world. Technology also helps a lot nowadays, as apps and online platforms allow learners to practice speaking and listening anytime, making the process more flexible and engaging.
