Part 1

1) My favourite sport is badminton. It is easy to play with one or two friends, it does not require a large field, and it gives me a good workout. 2) I usually play once or twice a week, especially at weekends. I normally play for about an hour because that is enough to exercise without becoming too tired. 3) Sport is important because it improves physical health and also reduces stress. For example, after studying for a long time, playing badminton helps me feel more energetic and sleep better.

1) I usually travel by motorbike because it is convenient for short and medium distances in my city. I can leave at any time and usually reach my destination faster than by bus. 2) One advantage of public transport is that it can reduce traffic and pollution if many people use it. It is also cheaper than owning a private vehicle. However, routes and schedules are not always convenient. 3) In the future, I would like to use public transport more often if it becomes more reliable and connected. For example, a good metro and bus network would make commuting less stressful.

Part 2

I would form a student team to organize the program. A team can divide responsibilities such as preparing the schedule, contacting guests, decorating the venue, and managing technical equipment. This reduces pressure on one person and gives more students a chance to contribute. Inviting a guest speaker could make the event inspiring, especially if the speaker has useful experience, but finding the right person may take time and money. Giving a student speech yourself could be meaningful and personal, but one speech alone cannot manage all the practical work needed for a graduation event. Overall, forming a team is the best choice because it is practical, cooperative, and gives students useful organizational experience.

Part 3

Main response: Learning another language brings many benefits. First, it improves communication. People can speak directly with foreigners, travel more independently, and build relationships with people from different countries. Second, languages can create more study and career opportunities. Many universities and companies value applicants who can use more than one language. For example, English is often required for international programs and jobs. Third, learning a language helps people understand another culture. Through films, books, music, and conversations, learners can understand different customs and ways of thinking. Follow-up 1: Common difficulties include remembering vocabulary, understanding fast speech, pronunciation, and not having enough chances to practise. Many learners also feel nervous about making mistakes. Follow-up 2: Chinese may become even more widely used internationally because China has a large population and strong economic connections with many countries. However, the future status of any language depends on education, business, technology, and international relations. Follow-up 3: People learn English for education, work, travel, entertainment, and access to information because it is widely used internationally.
