Part 1

Sample Answer:

My favorite room in my house is definitely my bedroom because it’s where I can truly be myself and enjoy my private time. It’s not a big room, but it feels very cozy and comfortable. The walls are painted light blue, which makes the space calm and relaxing. There’s a large window that lets in natural sunlight in the morning, and I love opening it to feel the fresh air. In my bedroom, I often spend time reading books, listening to soft music, or studying. It’s also the place where I can rest after a busy day at work or school. Sometimes I lie on my bed and watch movies or chat with my friends online. It’s like my small world where I can recharge my energy. If I could change something, I would probably add more decorations, such as a small bookshelf, some green plants, and maybe some LED lights to make the room look more lively. I’d also like to have a bigger desk so that I can study and work more comfortably. Overall, my bedroom is the most peaceful and meaningful place for me in the house.

I live in a house rather than a flat because my family prefers having more space and privacy. Our house is not very big, but it has two floors and a small garden in front where we grow some flowers and vegetables. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood, so it’s really peaceful and comfortable to live in. I’m living with my parents and my younger brother. We are a close-knit family and usually spend time together in the living room. That’s the most popular room in our house because it’s where we can relax, talk, and watch TV after dinner. Sometimes, during the weekends, we sit there and play board games or drink tea together. The atmosphere in the living room always feels warm and lively, which makes it my second favorite place after my bedroom.

Sample Answer:

If I had the chance to choose among three jobs — one in a government office near my house, one in an international company in Ho Chi Minh City, and one in a company in Singapore — I would choose the job in the international company in Ho Chi Minh City. I think this option would give me the perfect balance between career development and being close enough to my family. Working in an international company would allow me to gain valuable experience, improve my English skills, and learn how to work in a professional and multicultural environment. Ho Chi Minh City also offers many job opportunities and chances for personal growth. Although the job in Singapore sounds attractive with higher income and global exposure, living far from my family might be difficult, especially at the beginning. On the other hand, the government job near my house seems stable, but it might not be as challenging or exciting as the one in Ho Chi Minh City. So, I believe the job in the international company in Ho Chi Minh City would be the best choice because it provides both career advancement and a lifestyle that suits me well.

Sample Answer:

I believe that learning English through listening every day is one of the most effective ways to improve language skills. When we listen regularly, we can naturally develop our pronunciation, intonation, and accent by imitating native speakers. It also helps us understand how words are used in real-life situations, not just in textbooks. Besides, listening allows us to learn new words and expressions easily because we hear them repeatedly in different contexts, which helps us remember them better. In the future, I’d love to learn another language like Korean or Japanese because I’m interested in their culture and entertainment. In my opinion, the best way to learn a new language well is to combine different methods — listening, speaking, reading, and writing — while also practicing with native speakers as much as possible. As for whether a learner should study alone or take a class, I think both are useful. Studying by yourself gives you flexibility and helps you be more independent, but taking a class provides structure, feedback, and motivation from teachers and classmates. Personally, I believe the combination of both is the most effective way to master a new language.
