Part 1 - Introduction and Interview

Question 1: Are you a patient person?

Sample Answer: I think I’m fairly patient in most situations. For example, I don’t mind waiting in line or helping someone who needs more time. But when I’m tired or under pressure, I can get a little impatient. I’m still working on improving that. Overall, I try to stay calm and understanding.

Question 2: What is it that makes you feel impatient?

Sample Answer: I feel impatient when I have to wait for a long time, especially if I’m in a queue or stuck in traffic. Also, when people are slow to respond to messages or make decisions, it can be frustrating. I like things to move quickly and smoothly.

Question 3: How do you feel when you have to do something for a long time?

Sample Answer: I usually feel tired and bored if the task is repetitive or not interesting. It’s hard to stay focused without a break. But if it’s something I enjoy, I can stay motivated for longer. Taking short breaks helps me stay refreshed and productive.

Question 4: Does your job require you to be patient?

Sample Answer: Oh, absolutely! Being a kindergarten teacher definitely requires a lot of patience. You're dealing with little ones who are still learning to control their emotions and behaviour, and sometimes things get a bit chaotic. There are tantrums to manage, disagreements to resolve, and endless repetitions of instructions. It's not always easy, but seeing their progress and the little "aha!" moments makes it all worthwhile. I've definitely become a much more patient person since I started this job, although there are days when I have to consciously remind myself to breathe deeply!
